March 5, Records Retention Scheduling and Policy
Barbara Benson, University of Washington is will be talking about her wide variety of experiences in records retention scheduling. Benson has worked for several different types of organizations that provide several different perspectives of records management. Benson will also speak about the challenges of enforcing the records retention policy. I wonder what she uses a whip or a big stick?
New Member Meet and Greet
On April 3, at the Columbia Tower Club from 8-10 a.m. Greater Seattle will be holding a new member meet and greet. This is for our new members, so they can be introduced to the Greater Seattle Chapter and also they can be introduced to the board. If you are a new member, I hope you will consider attending. Columbia Tower club has some great views of Elliot Bay! This is by invitation only.
Shredding Event
April 18, from 9-noon, we will be co-sponsoring shredding event in Shoreline with National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Datasite, and Office Max. The shredding will take place at Office Max 1345 N 205th Shoreline, WA 98133, you will be allowed only paper and 2 boxes. If you would like to assist, please let me know.
