Message from the GNW Region Manager
The message for April can be wrapped up in one word CONFERENCES. We have some really great ARMA conferences coming up.
First up is the Region Conference 2010 in Bellevue, Washington, April 15-16.Through the collaborative efforts of our Region Team and the Bellevue/Eastside, Greater Seattle, and Puget Sound Chapters, we have a fantastic educational opportunity just ahead. If you’ve been feeling ‘marooned’, looking for answers and needing help with your RIM questions, this conference is for you. Come find the tools and resources you need to turn your RIM ‘island’ into a RIM paradise! If you are not already registered, there is still time! Next up in June is the Great Northwest Leadership Conference. Although geared towards the chapter leadership, this conference isn’t just for board members anymore. Plus there are scholarships available! So be watching next month’s message for more details.
Next November is the ARMA International Conference and Expo in San Francisco. Once again, ARMA is seeking individuals to serve as Education Session Monitors. Session monitors are assigned to a specific room each day and assist the speakers by passing out materials and gathering evaluations. In exchange for working for two days of the conference, session monitors receive a complimentary registration (a $900+ value)! Monitors are chosen through an application process. Applications are available on ARMA’s website at www.arma.org . But you have to hurry! Applications must be turned in to your Chapter President for review and then sent to the Region Manager (hey, that’s me!) for final review and then forwarded to ARMA HQ no later than April 20th! So if you are interested in this great opportunity, time’s a wasting!
Conferences, conferences, conferences. All three are great opportunities to learn, to meet each other and have a great time! I hope to see you all soon!
