Program Title: BIM not HIM-Business Information Management at a Public Health System
Description: Business Records and Medical Records are in fact closely related. Learn a little about Records and Information Management from the other side of the fence. The speakers will discuss managing records for a large health care system.
Speakers Profile:
Christine Taylor has worked at the University of Washington since 2008, and is currently the Records Manager for UW Medicine. She has also been co-owner of a Records/Archives consulting company, and for several years served as Records Manager and Archivist for the Archdiocese of Seattle.
Paula Little is currently a Records Analyst Supervisor and Data Projects Specialist at UW Medicine Records Management Services. Previously she has been a Project Archivist with UW Special Collections working on the collection for the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies. While living abroad in Ireland she was Project Archivist on the collection for the first Irish Ambassador to the United States of American, John J. Hearn. Additionally she has held archival positions at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, CA and the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. She also held the position of Industry Research Analyst for Gartner, Inc. in the field of internet commerce.

From North:
• Exit at Union Street; Take Union to Second Avenue.
• Turn left onto Second Avenue.
• Drive south two blocks to Seneca Street.
• To enter the parking garage turn right onto Seneca Street. Seneca is a two-way street only between Second and First Avenues. Make the first left turn into the parking garage.
From South:
Interstate 5 from South of Seattle (for example, from Seattle-Tacoma airport)
• Take the Seneca Street exit and follow Seneca down the hill (west) to Second Avenue.
• To enter the parking garage cross Second Avenue. Seneca is a two-way street only between Second and First Avenues. Make the first left turn into the parking garage.
