April Digest-Message from the President

Message from the President

Dear member,

I am very excited about our upcoming events. On April 29, we will have our New Member Meet and Greet Foster Pepper, 1111 3rd Ave, 30th floor. It is going to be fun!

If you have not attended an event all year long, you want to make sure you attend our May 6 meeting. Why? Two reasons: HOT topic at an even HOTTER location--the Columbia Tower Club. The topic will be Social Networking in a panel discussion format and it should be a very educational event. The Columbia Tower Club has a dress code--please don’t wear jeans to this venue you will be unable to enter. Even our members will be smoking!

Finally, I am very very excited to announce our Board Elections. We will be having some new and returning faces to our board. In this April Digest, you will find more details about the exciting upcoming events.

I hope to see you in the sky!

Andrea Bettger

Shredding Day Commonly in April the Greater Seattle Chapter hosts a Shredding Day; however, the Washington Attorney’s General is hosting several of these days throughout the year. We have decided to pass on our annual shredding event this year. The Greater Seattle board will be working on a new community activity for next year.

There are several free shredding events in April throughout Washington. If you need to do shredding or if someone asks, please see http://www.atg.wa.gov/Shredathon.aspx#events the dates, times, and locations are listed on the Washington Attorney’s General Website.

Leadership June 11-12 The Greater Seattle Chapter will be hosting Region Leadership this year. I will be working with Marc Simpson, Region Manager on finding a location and a fun activity for the out of town ARMA members. If you are a CRM and need continuing education credits, I hope you will consider attending because the conference will provide great information on ARMA International and Leadership skills.
