Program Title:
Building a Disaster Recovery Plan


Description:
Well, we made it through 2012 without the Mayan apocalypse, but you never know perhaps around the corner will be a Zombie’s will take over Seattle, the Seawall may collapse, or a major earthquake might take out the waterfront. Whatever you prepare for make sure you take the time to Building a Disaster Recovery Plan. This session will cover the main elements that all records managers need to understand to complete a Disaster Recovery Plan. Disaster Recovery is part of ARMA International’s Core Competencies Risk Management section.


Speaker Profile:
Sharon Burnett, CRM, Vulcan Inc.
Sharon Burnett, CRM is a Washington State native who has worked in the records and information management world her entire career. She has worked for 3 great NW organizations – Weyerhaeuser, Microsoft, & currently Vulcan Inc. Sharon became a certified records manager in 2008. Her particular areas of R&IM interest are electronic communications management and litigation support.

In her personal life Sharon stays busy restoring a vintage sports car, chasing her 2 Kerry Blue Terriers Rocket & Renny, and taking on various landscaping/gardening projects. Sharon is currently engaged in adding to the herd…another Kerry Blue Terrier with the hope of competing again in AKC agility!
