Archives Expo

Seattle Area Archivists are celebrating Archives Week the week of October 10-15. There will be several activities sponsored by members of the Seattle Area Archivists.

October 11 King County Archives Open House 12- 3 p.m.

October 12 Archives Expo
Seattle area archives will display information about their holdings and services, and provide informative talks.

  • 11 a.m. The Old Seattle Cemetery at Denny Park How to use archives and other repositories to trace the origins, lives and final resting places of early Seattle residents once buried at the Old Seattle Cemetery. Location: Seattle Public Library, Central Branch, Level 4, Meeting Room 2
  • 1 p.m. Preserving your Family Photographs Presented by Nicolette Bromberg, Visual Materials Curator, UW Libraries. Location: Seattle Public Library, Central Branch, Level 4, Meeting Room 2
Thursday, October 13, 11:30 am Brick Wall Workshop
Bring your brown-bag lunch and your "impossible genealogy problem" and our knowledgeable staff will brainstorm possible solutions!
