Program: Applying Technology to Achieve an Effective RIM Program

Program Description: Over the last four years King County has been
planning and implementing an Electronic Records System. Greg Trosset
and Patty Holmquist will share with the Greater Seattle Chapter some of
the successes and failures they've encountered in applying technology to
achieve an effective RIM Program.

Speakers:

Patty Holmquist, CRM, joined King County Records Management in September
2004. Patty graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree
in Business Administration, specializing in Organizational Behavior.
She completed the Records and Information Management certificate program
at the University of Washington in 1997 and was awarded her CRM in 2002.
Her experience in records management covers a broad spectrum including
the business and public sectors. She is a member of the Puget Sound
Chapter of ARMA.

Greg Trosset joined King County in September 2004, and brings an IT
oriented background to the Records Management office. His previous
experience includes IT and management positions in both the private and
public sectors, including Swedish Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center. Greg is a retired Commander with the United
States navy, serving over 20 years in both an active and reserve
capacity. He holds an MBA with a major in information system and a
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, both from the State
University of New York.
